I apologize for my absence today in class. Unfortunately I think I caught my mothers cold and i was lucky to even type this for you. Hopefully you get this.

Summary on " How to Ruin a Great Design"

This piece of writing Alice Rawsthorn, first explains that back in the old times, signs on streets were simple and yet still made there point on what it explained. As the passage continues, Alice then explains how the newer street signs are what she says as a “a crime against design.” Alice claims that not only are the newer designs "unsafe", but just make no sense in general. There was an example about a cyclist design that first was a simple design of an arrow and two words but put too much emphasis on the first letter which makes it distracting for people driving pass it. In a nut shell, Alice says that designers for street signs have not only gotten lazy with their designs but just didn't take them seriously enough to make new ones.

A little About me....

I have mostly hardware experience when it comes to computers unfortunately. I have four years of both A+ ad NET + experience. My major is video game design and development. I hope to improve my software and sketching skills in this class. ummmm I actually don't have a favorite artist but a well known I took a liking to would be Pablo Picasso.

This story is based off of me, Gabriel Rodriguez, and a few things about me. I'm 19 years old, my birthday is march 1, 1993. my hobbies are video games, basically all sports (except basketball), love to snowboard, skii, and surf, and used to wrestle, take judo, MMA, boxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and pao kuo kwan. I love to try new things all the time like food for example. the only things I dislike are ketchup, bees, peppers, and very loud people. A little story that I enjoy telling is I have worked at Acme for 3 years now and have seen a lot of crazy things and people. There was a time when I was just casually working minding my own business when a lady comes into Acme screaming, "CALL 911! " I respond with a why and she continued to repeat the same phrase. so as I look out the window I just see a car on fire in the parking lot. Everyone in the store is screaming and freaking out for some odd reason. My only response to the car on fire was a smirk and a little chuckle. The lady yells at me asking, "Why are you laughing? " So after I laugh for another five minutes, I turn to the lady and say, "Mam, if you are just relaxing and a crazy person comes in here screaming and people dancing around a car on fire, your telling me you wouldn't just laugh a little?"
